Guide for faculty

UNIV 301 Information Literacy

Forsyth Library faculty created a general education course for the new FHSU Common Outcomes Relevant Education (CORE) program. The goal of this course was to fulfill CORE outcome 1.4: Information Literacy. While departments were encouraged to integrate this outcome into major courses, the UNIV 301 course would be available to students where a major course for this outcome was not offered.

CRJ 399 Criminal Justice Research

This course develops information literacy skills of the criminal justice student. Students will learn how and why the field of criminology knows what it knows and how to produce new knowledge within the field. Students will also learn how to evaluate evidence and judge its validity.
