This research guide contains a series of tutorials and videos providing an overview of library resources and services, a library vocabulary, and information on finding and using library resources.

The Writing Center is located in Picken Hall 157 and they offer resources, strategies, and techniques to improve your writing. Use this link to register for an account and schedule an appointment with the FHSU Writing Center staff.

Online students can utilize FREE online tutoring which allows you to connect on-demand with a live tutor, schedule a live tutoring session, work a writing lab tutor for any written assignments and access study tools such as lessons, practice tests, and flashcards. Access this resource in Workday in the “myFHSU” icon. Under the Support and Tutoring category on the right-hand side, select "Online Tutoring". Free peer tutoring and evening drop-in tutoring services are available for most FHSU general education courses. The Tutoring Center is in the Center for Student Success Room 113. To schedule a tutoring appointment please, stop by the CSS142, email success@fhsu.edu, or schedule online in Handshake. Individual academic coaching, accountability check-in meetings, and study hall spaces are also available.

Forsyth Library and Learning Commons is available to give workshops, one-on-one training and lectures about technology, software, and apps on all of your devices. Special software for video/audio editing and research analysis are available on select library computers.

Technology equipment, including laptops, tablets, video cameras and more, are also available at the Learning Commons Desk to check out.
