When doing larger research projects that require you to follow the scholarly conversation, you may find it helpful to use a research method called “citation tracing.” When you find a source that seems promising, you should do two things:
Look BACKWARDS at the References List to see what older sources it has cited

Look FORWARDS to see what newer sources have cited it since it has been published
(who cites this article)
Search a journal title found in a citation to see if FHSU Library has electronic access to a journal, including the database(s) it is in and the publication years available.
