APA Resources

How to format your References page: (The videos below show how to do APA format in Word and Google Docs, including the reference page).

  • The References page comes after the end of your text but before any appendices
  • Start on a new page, keeping the 1" margins all around and page numbering as in the other pages of your paper.
  • The word References should be on the first line, centered and bolded
  • Order your references alphabetically by the last name of the author. If there is no author, use the title.
  • All citations should be double-spaced, with no line between paragraphs
  • All citations should have a hanging indent.
