What are Times Talks?

Times Talks, presentations on current topics by knowledgeable speakers, began at Fort Hays State University. A product of the partnership between the American Democracy Project and the New York Times, these talks are part of an initiative to get people the information they need in a changing world.  The topics correspond to the issues of the day as reported in the New York Times. Discussion is encouraged so that many points of view may be heard.  Times Talks are now used at many colleges and universities around the country.

What are Finding Common Ground Discussions?

Finding Common Ground Roundtables are discussions of current topics. Rather than having one speaker present information, all students, faculty and staff are welcome to attend and participate in the discussion. This format offers a venue in which we can hear and gain understanding of the opinions and views of our peers about the issues we all face. These discussions are sponsored by the American Democracy Project.

Refreshments provided:  Cookies, soda. You are welcome to bring your lunch along.
