You have been asked to use the Journal of Ecology citation style. This citation style is specific to the Journal of Ecology. You can find more information on the Journal of Ecology citation style here.

Web page or other piece of online content

Turner, M.E. 2020. Title of page. http://www.weather.com. 

Do I need a URL?

The Journal of Ecology only lists URLs for websites. For sources with a DOI, include the DOI as a resolvable hyperlink.

What about works with multiple authors?

Authors are listed as Author, A.A., Author, B.B, & Author, C.C. The Journal of Ecology lists up to twenty authors. If there are more than twenty authors, insert an ellipse (. . .) after the 19th author and then list the last author as the 20th author.

How do I format my reference list?

The reference list should be titled "References" with references presented alphabetically by author.
