In the databases below, searching for the name of the test, in quotation marks, may find a copy of the test within one of the theses or dissertations. A NOTE ABOUT COPYRIGHT: Tests and measures are usually under copyright. Look for a copyright statement on the measure explaining how the measure may be used. If there is no copyright statement, you will probably need to contact the author. The copyright may be held by the authors or by the publisher of the article that contains the measure, depending on what type of publishing agreement the author(s) signed. Therefore, the best first step is to contact the authors of the article. Contact information is usually provided in the article or may be found via an internet search. If you can't reach the author, there may be information about copyright on the publisher's website or in the database. This guide from the University of Pittsburgh has relevant information, including that "APA holds the copyright to all material published in APA journals." Remember that you must cite the test and test developer, or the original article containing the measure, even if the copyright statement says the test may be freely used.
With PQDT Open, you can read the full-text of open access dissertations and theses free of charge.
