This guide will introduce you to the University Archives at Forsyth Library and serve as a starting point to assist with your original research.

Documenting the COVID-19 Pandemic

Forsyth Library Special Collections and University Archives is joining with libraries across the nation to document the historical impact of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) global health crisis on individuals, families, organizations, businesses, and communities.

Special Collections is seeking stories and file submissions from individuals from the FHSU and Ellis County communities. These submissions will be made available as primary resources for historical, research use, and exhibits.

Submissions might include experiences with the stay-at-home order, social distancing, self-quarantine, online education, working remotely and other local ongoing effects of the pandemic.

Similar primary source collections have been gathered by libraries during times of great community impact such as natural disasters, terrorist attacks, wars, and recessions. They serve as primary research material for many disciplines in the present and for the future.

Please consider submitting your real-life stories to capture the local experience during this unprecedented time and document it for posterity. We are looking for a diverse set of voices and hearing about your lived experience. To submit a story, send text, photographs, journal and diary entries and other digital evidence by using the project's submission form at: https://bit.ly/COVIDarchive or email forsythsc@fhsu.edu.
