Directions for using Interlibrary Loan to request materials from another library.

Renovation Update

Due to renovation construction, there will be limited access to the library building beginning August 19, 2024.

  • Use the northeast accessible entrance to reach the Welcome Desk or Special Collections & Archives. The Welcome Desk is open M - F 7:30 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. Special Collections & Archives is available by appointment; contact Brian Gribben at b_gribben@fhsu.edu or call 785-628-5511.
  • Check out technology and pick up books on hold or requested through Interlibrary Loan at the Welcome Desk. Instructions on how to place a hold are at the bottom of this box.  
  • There are no study spaces or public restrooms available in Forsyth Library at this time.
  • Most Library staff and the Media Lab have moved to Custer Hall.
  • Electronic resources, including databases, the Scholars Repository, and the Ask a Librarian research help service, remain accessible.

How to Use Interlibrary Loan

Interlibrary Loan is a free service you can use to obtain items not owned by Forsyth Library, or to have our items mailed to you if you live too far away to come to the library.
