Who? What? When? Where? Why?
We can focus our ideas by brainstorming what interests us when asking who, what, when where, and why:
Who? special education students, elementary students
What? flexible seating, classroom management
When? Past ten years, past five years, Mid-1990's to Present
Where? elementary schools, integrated classrooms, middle schools
Why? focus, improved test scores, less disruptive

Research Logs allow those to track searches by mapping out the research process when finding sources. By utilizing a research log, one can know what databases were explored, what keywords and filters were utilized and how successful the search was. Not every search goes well so there are also extra columns so students can record what worked, what didn't and what they would change.
Use the Research Log template below to track your research!
