Before you make a request:
Request using ILLiad:
FHSU students, faculty, staff and other Forsyth Library patrons can create an ILLiad account to request items from libraries worldwide for free, including: books, microfilm, articles (paper or electronic copies), theses, dissertations, and conference proceedings.
How Long Does it Take?
Books and other materials which must be returned to the lending library, sometimes arrive within one or two days, but may take up to two weeks to arrive.
Most journal articles will arrive in your e-mail within 24 hours, possibly sooner.
When Requested Materials Arrive:
Books and other items with due dates, can be picked up from the One Stop desk on the main floor of the library. Patrons can also return these items to this desk on the main floor.
Patrons will receive e-mail notification when their requested journal articles arrive. These documents can be accessed by opening the PDF attachment, or by using the provided password and URL to access the document online.
Search the collections of over 10,000 libraries worldwide and request them. Click on the title of the item you want, then click View Access Options and Request through Interlibrary Loan. First-time users of Interlibrary Loan will need to create a free account.
