Cross-Border Faculty Guide to the Library

How do I request journal articles or other materials the library does not own?

You can request materials the library does not own by submitting a form to Interlibrary Loan. Interlibrary Loan Services are still available to you while teaching abroad as many materials can be electronically delivered. You can also contact your liaison who can help in finding documents and sending copies to you as appropriate.

If it is your first time using the Interlibrary Loan service, you will need to create a free account prior to making your request.  On the Interlibrary Loan page, click on "First Time Users: Create an Account". You'll see a page of information about ILL; scroll down to the bottom of that page to "First Time Users Click Here" to get to the account creation form.

Select the type of item you are requesting, such as an article, under "New Request" on the left, then fill out and submit the form.

You'll receive an e-mail notification when your item is available. Articles will be posted to your ILL account. If you have questions, contact the Interlibrary Loan office at 785-628-4351 or iloan@fhsu.edu
