Resources for researching just about any topic

Didn't find what you need? Request it!

We can usually obtain the item(s) you need from another library via Interlibrary Loan.  First time user? See the instructions and help document on the Interlibrary Loan page of this guide.

Find a Specific Journal

For example, if you wanted to find out if you can access the journal Psychology of Women Quarterly online or in any format:

1.  Search for the journal title, in quotation marks, in the search box on the library's website.

Search for "psychology of women quarterly" in the search box on the library's website

2. We may have the journal in print, microfilm and or online (or not at all).  In this case, clicking "view 2 versions" shows both the microfilm and online formats.

3. Click "View It" to see links to databases which contain full-text articles from that journal. Note that different databases may contain different years of the journal. (If the journal is only available in print, note the call number and click "Get It" to see what years we have).

Finding Print Journals

If you don't find the journal or journal issue you need using A to Z, search for the journal name in Primo  to see if we have it in print.

If the journal is found, click on "Get It" to see what years are available ("holdings"), and the call number.  In this example, the library owns print issues of this journal from volume 97 in 1983, to the present.  The call number is BF1.J57.  Note that volumes dated 1994 to the present are shelved on the main floor, in the Periodical Reading Area, and those dated 1993 and older are located in the basement.

If the journal/issue you need is not available in print or online, you can request the article using Interlibrary Loan (on-campus and local area students) or Distance Services (virtual students).  See the pertinent tabs of this guide for more information on requesting materials.
