  • Renew your booksCall 785-628-4434, or go to Primo  and click Sign In in the upper right corner. Select CAS Tiger Tracks  and login. In Primo, click My Account in the upper right corner, and select the books you would like to renew.   More information about checking out materials
          • Interlibrary Loan forms 
            If we do not own a book or article you need, we can probably get it from another library. On-campus and Hays area students should use Interlibrary Loan. Others should use Distance Services. 

           

             

              Off Campus Access to Library Resources

            Off-campus access to most Forsyth Library electronic resources is restricted to authorized users (FHSU faculty, students, staff). If you are off-campus and select a restricted resource you will be directed to the FHSU Secure Authorization page. Enter your TigerTracks username and password. That’s it. You are authenticated! If you are already logged-in to TigerTracks or Blackboard you are already authenticated.

              Welcome to the Art & Architecture Research Guide!

              This is a research guide to help pinpoint some of the library materials appropriate for Art & Architecture.  If you wish to find a research guide for other subjects click Other Guides

              If you need research assistance or have suggestions about this guide, please feel free to contact me.  Although the best way to reach me is via email, you may also call me or make an appointment. 

               

              Library Locations and Virtual Tour of Forsyth Library

              Some of the collections available at Forsyth Library include:

              General Collection: Books may be checked out from this collection.  The General Collection is located on the west side of the top floor.

              Reference Collection: These books are not normally read from cover to cover and have background information on a topic, answer questions, or contain statistics.  Some types of reference sources include general and specialized dictionaries and encyclopedias, almanacs, and handbooks.  This collection is located on the main floor close to the entrance.

              Government Documents: This collection is comprised of federal, state, foreign, and UN documents that are housed on the east side of the top floor.  Some full-text documents are also available on the Online Catalog.

              Periodicals: Current periodicals from 1994 to the present are located towards the south end of the main floor.  Periodicals prior to 1994 are located in the basement.

              Special Collections: The Western Collection, Genealogy Collection, Archives, Rare Books, and various Military Collections are some of the collections housed in this area.  These collections are located on the southeast side of the main floor.  Please contact Patty Nicholas for an appointment to use this area.

              Center for Ethnic Studies: This room has information regarding Volga Germans and other Ethnic groups in this area.  This area is located on the northeast side of the main floor.  Please contact Patty Nicholas for an appointment to use this area.

              Digital Collections: Some of the Digital Collections available include old-time photos of FHSU, items from Sternberg Museum,  Ben Franklin letters, and items from the Kansas Cosmosphere as well as the Stafford County Historical Museum Society.

              All other locations can be found by viewing the Virtual Tour of Forsyth Library.
